Adani Data Party August 21

The Adani Coal mine would be the biggest coal mine in Australia’s history. Adani wants to use public funds to build this enormous carbon bomb that will destroy our climate and trash Indigenous rights. We have to stop it.

Our volunteers hit the streets to kick off our campaign to pressure Labor in marginal seats and stop the Adani Coal mine. We had 100 doorknockers out having conversations in marginal electorates. With their help, this is what we achieved over the weekend:

  • 11 events across the inner city in Batman, Melbourne Ports, Wills and Melbourne.

  • Knocked on 1950 doors.

  • 240 people signed our petition to ask Bill Shorten to stop the Adani Coal Mine.

We know that one-on-one conversations are the most effective way to engage with people, and in order to make those conversations count we need your help recording the data.

Come along to the Data Party to help make each conversation count. You don't need any experience or training, just yourself, the ability to use an internet browser, and a laptop if you have one.

Training and support will be provided throughout the night, along with snacks and music. You can also invite a friend to come along to double your impact!

These will be in Adam’s office convenient to public transport. Come along anytime from 6pm until 8:30pm, and if you are interested in helping out in the future, please get in touch with Cormac.
